About this site

Hi there! My name is Rosen and this is my personal blog. In here I'll write about my adventures in the digital world. The most recurring topics will be about Linux and the command line, Open Source software, the Neovim text editor, Mechanical Keyboards, Racing Drones, 3D printers, and the occasional cheesy pop song quote.

About me

I live in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. I'm an engineer by heart and degree (almost) and I work as software developer. I love my wife and I enjoy hacking* on things. At this exact moment I'm probably 3d printing something that'll be used to improve my 3d printer.

* I use the word hacking in it's original sense, coined at MIT back in the 60's, not how popular media portrays it nowadays.

A hacker, in the classic sense of the term, is someone with a strong interest in how things work, who likes to tinker and create and modify things for the enjoyment of doing so. For some, it is a compulsion, while for others it is a means to an end that may lead them to greater understanding of something else entirely.

And most importantly, whatever you do in this life, it's not legendary unless your friends are there to see it.

This pretty much sums me up.

More to come in time.
